Pocket watch 6x6" by Mariano Zucchi

This is a subject dear to Mr.Groat and I can see why, is a very intriguing piece, the detailed explanation about this piece by Mr. Groat are fantastic, now if only I could be a little bit more like Rembrandt!!! Well...I could create the illusion of incredible details.

I love your painting technique, the color combination along with your loose brushstrokes is amazing. Looking over your other paintings I have nothing bad to say and I have no suggestions. This painting is my favorite out of them all though. I love the feeling that it gives, it has a magical essence about it. You can definetly see how advanced of a painter you are. Great job.

Thank you very nice for your nice comments on my oils(actually Hall Groat II) !!!!!
It is fun to recreate his exercises and his painting, in the process we learn a lot I think. Each painting even if of the same object is personal to each one of us, because our lifetime experience is different. Remember your art is your world , you can take an idea and go wherever you wont with it. Just like crossing a dark room. You never know where you are going to end up.
