Cookies & Milk- Sal Gruttadauria


Well - I decided I did not like the background so I repainted.  Not sure if I made it worse.

Sal,
This one's stronger in terms of the drawing. If you sense the the paint is getting too heavy within the negative space you can always scrape it down slightly with your palette knife, which brings back a sense of canvas grain and atmosphere. Don't be afraid to loose edges around the glass of milk. The edge along the shadow side can be much softer, diffused and completely get lost in areas.
